Sicelys in kindergarden!!!!

My Sweet Sicely started school this week! we were both so excited. It started out a good day, we got her to school on time and had no hassells and no tears from either one of us! I was a little nervouse about the picking up situation and how well the staff would do on keeping out children safe. But We never made it that far.... an hour and a half into school i got a phone call from the school nurse saying i needed to come pick up Sicely because she had fell on the steps of the slide and busted her chin open and possibly needed stitches. so i packed up my other two kids and went and took her to the doctor.... which takes FOREVER!!! in this town. I was about to walk out after waiting in the back room for an hour with 3 kids!!! but he finally came and cleaned it good and taped and glued it! thankgooness no stitches.... notice how she wore a WHITE shirt that day?? most of the blood was on the name tage they stuck on her that morning-lucky. Anyways so i was worried that she wouldnt want to go back to school the next day, but we had no problems- she was even more concerned about the boy she bonked into when she fell, and she said she was going to find him the next day and say sorry. How cute is that!!

Now on to the picking up situation. They really arent that good to be honest. The school that my sister takes her kids to (in a different state) have a person stand out and you drive up to him and tell him your kids name and he walky talkys to the other person to send that child down.

Well at this school the person out with the kids says " I THINK your mom is here and sends the kid out in front of all the cars. IDIOT!! seriouslly I'm tired of the SMALL TOWN THINKING! do people think just because we are in a small town that nothing is going to happen to our kids...... lets just say that poor little boy was looking for his mom with a sad little lost face.

that is why i tell sicely not to go past the fence until i come and get her. hopefully there will be no accidents with any kids and no more trips to the dr.
