get your flu shot!

So this holiday season i got pretty much screwed. It was our year for all of our family to be together. My sister and her family flew in from MO. And everyone else came up from the valley. Well Christmas eve i started to feel really sick... Dakota also threw up while we were opening presents. we didnt even know until later because she ran back in the room and i asked where she went and she said " oh i was just throwing up"-like it was no big deal. so i didnt really think much of it until later i went in the bathroom and saw the mess.(we always do our individual family christmas eve. because we have my family and brians family christmas day... so it gets to be to hecktic.) Christmas morning i was so sick- so there arent very many picts to post (when i finaly get around to doing that) we normally stick around and hang out but i had to get to bed... i managed to shower and go have christmas with brians side of the family and it was misrable... Sicely threw up all over the couch, her present, her uncle marc (i've never seen anybody get up that fast ha ha) and all over the floor... we didnt even know she was sick- how sad is that! after we got it all cleaned up (and thankgoodness everyone was a good sport especially marc) we continued with christmas. by the time we were done i was shaking so bad from being freeing and i was in so much pain that we went home. I never understood when i heard on the news that old people would die from the flu- but now i totally understand... i was begging god to take me-thats how bad it was. i was surpose to go to the valley and hang with my family sat. but i was sick until tue. 6 days!!! it was the worst sickness i've ever had. brian was so sweet and took such good care of us, i felt bad that it took so long for me to get better but he was also taking care of dakota who got a really bad fever and two ear infections. and landen who had a fever and a cold. he did however get to go snowboarding during all of this and my sweet mom came over and took on the kids so i could sleep! what would we all do with out our mothers!! We finally got to go to the valley wed and hang with my family until sunday.

the moral of this story is get your flu shot next year! i know i will after having the throw up kind of flu on thanksgiving. and now this kind for christmas... what did i do to deserve this!
