The Birds And The Bees

This sweet little child who is only 4, wants to know EVERYTHING!!!!. For exsample, I am almost 5 mos prego and yesterday she asked " how did the baby get in there?" and me thinking-shes only 4 -what is she going to understand? So I told her that heavenly Father and Jesus put the baby in there. She was NOT satisfied. And said " No, mom how did the baby get in there?" I just started dyeing laughing because I thought this talk wouldn't come until 10 or 12. She was soooo serious and put her hands on her hips and said "Mom, I'm asking you a question." I was racking my brain and could not believe I was not prepared. So the next thing I said, hoping she would say ok and walk away was "well, mommy and daddy put the baby there." and to my horror, that didnt do the trick either. So, finally realizing that she wasnt giving up, told her that girls have eggs, and boys have sperm and when you get married you can make a baby. And finally she was satisfied and walked away! Wheew! I never thought that being a parent had so many details to it. It just feels like mine are matureing way to early!
